Turkish Signature on England’s Fastest Railway: Mono Steel’s Role in the HS2 Project

The monumental High Speed Two (HS2) project, set to revolutionize train travel in England, has embarked on its first phase. HS2 aims to connect London, Birmingham, and Manchester, and upon completion in 2029, it will stand as Europe’s largest high-speed train project.

Mono Steel is proud to contribute to this ambitious endeavor by producing specially designed steel structures for the HS2, which includes tunnels running under London. To date, Mono Steel has supplied nearly 800 tons of steel for the project and will continue to provide materials for the first stage until the end of 2025.

This project not only aims to cut the train journey between London and Manchester from 7 hours to just 1 hour and 11 minutes but also to bring other cities like Liverpool, Sheffield, Leeds, Nottingham, and Derby closer together through new transit lines.

Mustafa Toprakçeken, CEO and partner of Mono Steel, highlighted that the HS2 project is one of the brand’s major undertakings in 2023. He mentioned, “We are currently producing for the 8-kilometer tunnels running under London, and then we will continue to export the materials required for the Birmingham route. Our negotiations are continuing for the second stage. Apart from HS2, our production continues for projects in Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Sweden, France, Spain, Malta, Israel, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Tanzania, Sudan, and Australia. We plan to increase our export figures, employment, and investments in parallel.”
